Eric was asked to be a ringbearer for Jennifer’s wedding; a task he gladly performed since Jennifer is his best buddy. He looked pretty dapper in his tux. Eric [...] On Sunday 16 August Kathryn, Eric, Skip, Bob & I embarked on a tour of the St Regis Canoe Area via the 11 Carries Route. The 7 Carries and 9 Carries Routes are popular ways to tour through Fish Pond. We lengthened the trip and did it counter clockwise by leaving from Upper St Regis [...] The 2009 Sand Fleas started play in late May. Over the summer we played with a core group including Kathryn, Julia, Rachael, Rob, Ron, Scott, and myself. We got major contributions from Danielle, Bill and Dan as substitutes throughout the summer and I enjoyed their presence on our team. We finished 3rd overall in the 10 [...] Our Wednesday night volleyball team, the Volley Llamas, were upset in the 2nd round of the playoffs last night losing to the nameless, cheerless, Team Eight two games to one. In round 1 the Volleyball Llamas dispatched SandStorm 2-0 and then waited for the winner of the round between the 4th (Team Eight) and 5th [...] Our Thursday night volleyball team, The Sand Fleas, finished the regular season in 3rd place overall out of the 10 team league. Shown are Jim, Kathryn, Bill, Rob, Julia and Scott. Not shown are regulars Ron & Rachael or super subs Danielle and Dan. We get a 1st round bye and play the 5th place team [...] John Henry had a little brother On Sunday 2 August Matt, Kathryn, Eric and I went to Lake Lila for a canoe camping trip. K & I used to go to Lake Lila in the late ’80s and early ’90s when it was considered a “remote” location. No one wanted to portage their canoes in the 3/10ths of a mile required [...] |
