“Our house, is a very, very fine house.” CSNY The picture of our house was taken last evening looking from the pond just south towards our yard and house. Saturday was the perfect storm of a day. We were invited to paddle down the West Branch of the Sacandaga River with a group of friends. The trip ended at Skip’s camp. It was the perfect confluence of emerging fall colors, perfect weather, “Talk Like A Pirate Day” and canoeing with friends. We put in [...] I have been trying to feed our pond fish nearly every night getting them fat in preparation for winter. As the water temperature cools they will become more dormant and eat less. It is pretty cool walking down to the pond in the evening. The water is calm and still; a reflection of the sky. Then [...] Eric and K picked up a kitten on Saturday. It doesn’t have a name yet, maybe Sticker. It is very tiny but settling in well.
We celebrated Billie Jo’s Birthday by making dinner and a cake for her. There was a little ‘texting’ mix up between Billie and Kathryn on cake preferences with Kathryn misinterpreting Billie’s NEthing but chocolate. It was still a good cake and once the candles were extinguished we tortured Billie Jo with [...] |
