Eric and I were bachelors this past weekend as Kathryn went to Rochester on a multipurpose visit: Lunch with long time friend Debbie Shopping for new clothes Dinner with high school friend Judy Irish-fest with brother Tim and niece Sarah Going away/deployment party for nephew John and wife Danielle Brunch with long time friend Kathy [...] Thursday night all the AYSO soccer coaches met at the HP Library for discussion and to pick our teams. I am an assistant coach working with Doug Wynne this year. Our U10 boys team has 13 kids. This year they play 7 v 7 with a goalie. Friday I worked. We got the lawn mowed [...] Our soccer finale was held Wednesday night. This was a mixed season for me. I lost three experienced players which were replaced by kids who were ‘graduated’ out of U6. It took our team a long time to learn spacing and to play offense by getting open ahead of the ball for a pass. That [...] Friday night we had a game versus Scott Jones’ team. Since he was short a couple of players I loaned Eric and Hunter. Eric promptly scored two goals against his team. They finished 3rd in a nine team league behind two club teams: Coliseum, who won the league last year and Krajisnik who HP beat, but they finished with the same overall record and moved ahead of HP due to more goals scored.
